Most of my clients work with me on a retainer, where I act as their fractional SHEQ, H&S and compliance lead. I get to know your sites, people and systems, and then support you month by month with practical advice, audits and paperwork.
Typical retainer support includes:
- Day-to-day H&S, CDM and compliance advice
- Review and development of RAMS, policies and procedures
- Management system design and tidy-up (ISO, MCS, PAS 2030, RICS)
- Audit preparation and support during external visits
- Input to tenders, PQQs and framework submissions
- Regular meetings and check-ins with Directors and key managers
I offer different levels of retainer – from basic “competent person” support up to a Fractional SHEQ & H&S Director package for more complex businesses.

Not every business is ready for a retainer. Sometimes you just need a specific job doing well and on time. I take on one-off projects such as:

I’m Rob Strange, founder of NRS Professional Services and a hands-on SHEQ and CDM professional. I work with businesses in construction, manufacturing, heating, renewables, insulation and chartered surveying, helping them stay safe, compliant and ready to win bigger work.
